Raids in Up-date have a long good reputation for not only challenging players, but changing and evolving as the years and expansions use. Similar to everything in the action, we’re always thinking of as well we can give raiding to further improve the knowledge a great even wider range of players. While Normal and Heroic Raids are a great fit for most, we feel there’s another gap worth filling—also to that end, we’re currently working away at the development of a whole new kind of Raid for the next major content update: Flexible Raiding. jjldf989
As it’s impossible to fit every player in a neat, tidy archetype, we observe that we might be providing a better experience to 1 broad sounding raider: social groups comprised predominantly of family and friends, and smaller guilds that do the most beautiful to include as many members in their Raid outings possible.
Throughout the Wrath in the Lich King expansion, the 10-player Normal difficulty served such groups of players pretty well, nevertheless the unification of 10-player and 25-player in to a single difficulty effectively eliminated that niche. While Raid Finder mode is exceedingly accessible, it doesn’t provide smaller groups using a tight-knit social experience while progressing with the content. In Patch 5.4, we’re planning to introduce a brand new mode of raiding that permits us to provide the type of expertise we think these players are searhing for.
